While the United States has many laws and policies related to privacy, the internet brings up many new and untested issues.

Information posted on the internet is, more or less, permanent and can have lasting effects on one's life and reputation.

Much information about us that we think is private is actually readily and easily accessible to others.

The way in which we currently approach education will need to change to accomodate the prevalency of the internet.

Online interaction is changing human behavior in many ways.
